Reform Communication: Leadership, Strategy and Stakeholder Alignment

Welcome to the site that archives materials for the World Bank-Annenberg Summer Institute in Reform Communication.  The executive course is designed for leaders, strategists and advisors who want to strengthen the critical communication skills and tools required to support change agents and reform initiatives in developing countries.

The Summer Institute will be held June 5-16, 2017 at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

The course will be taught by leading experts from the World Bank Group, External and Corporate Relations (ECR), Operational Communications unit; the World Bank’s Leadership, Learning and Innovation Group (LLI); The Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California; and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.

  1. I think this is a great idea. I hope you keep the website on, even with the end of the Executive Course that I am participating in, and enrich it further with new ideas, concepts and initiatives.

This endeavor was launched a year ago with an inaugural course in July 2011 in Washington, DC through the partnership of the World Bank’s External Affairs Operational Communication division, the World Bank Institute’s Governance Practice, the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California and the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. In the last year, these partners have focused on creating the 2012 Summer Institute, which continues to develop networks of specially trained communication practitioners that can provide effective implementation support to reform leaders and change agents.
